About Dubai Frame

The concept was to make the structure look like a photo frame, capturing Old and New Dubai from both sides. This stunning, rectangular ‘picture’ frame is Dubai’s most aesthetically pleasing architectural monument, intended to create a visual link between Dubai’s past and present. The Dubai photo frame comprises two 150-meter-tall towers connected by a 93-meter-long bridge connecting the tops of the two towers. Visitors can enjoy a wonderful view of Dubai from the bridge’s observatory due to its high altitude. Old Dubai lies to the north, and New Dubai is to the south, creating Dubai’s well-known juxtaposition of the Old and the New. ‘A voyage through time’ is the premise of the frame. It is a popular tourist attraction, with up to 2 million visitors expected yearly.

The Dubai Frame is located in Zabeel Park, adjacent to the stargate. The image frame wonderfully frames the city. If you stand on the observatory bridge and look to the south, you can view the entire modern city of Dubai, including all of the important landmarks. If you turn around and look north, you can see Old Dubai, Bur Dubai, Deira, Karama, Umm Hurair, and Dubai Creek.

1.    The Past Gallery (Old Dubai):

Your trip begins on the mezzanine level with the Past Gallery, where you will be immersed in an immersive experience of Dubai’s history. 3D projections, motion, mist effects, and fragrances bring the past to life. All of these special effects aid with time travel. The Past Gallery depicts Dubai’s transformation from a fishing and pearl diving sector to the modern behemoth it is today. This exhibition is an excellent spot to witness firsthand Dubai’s history and how it has entirely reinvented itself.

2.    The Sky Deck Level (Present Dubai):

You will then reach the Sky Deck level, where you will be able to observe Dubai from all angles. Augmented reality-activated screens show you Dubai’s spectacular landmarks and structures in complete 3D, as well as interesting and unique details about each. You can pause the interactive programs to watch them again, ask questions about them, and interact with Dubai’s present. Other technologies are used to show you instances of Dubai’s successful economy and infrastructure. After spending some time here, you will feel as if you have visited every location in Present Dubai.

3.    Future Dubai Gallery:

     Your future Dubai Frame experience will take place on the other side of the mezzanine level. You may tour Dubai and how it is predicted to look in 50 years. Through virtual reality technology and interactive projections, you can walk through a virtual futuristic metropolis. This virtual experience will captivate you because it is unlike any other. You’ll feel as if you’ve travelled to the future and back.

 4.  Vortex Tunnel:

You will journey from the mezzanine floor to fifty years in the future via a vortex tunnel that produces the illusion of time travel through a warp vortex. All of this is accomplished through the use of special lighting and sound effects, as well as interactive projections on the wall depicting the city’s progress over the next 50 years. In Dubai, you will see 3D renderings of new projects. You will also notice the city’s forecasts of newer modes of transportation and newer modes of life within the metropolis. These forecasts are based on actual project calculations, and if we are fortunate enough to be alive in 50 years, we will be able to witness those wonders. Nobody is let down by Dubai.

• The complete Dubai Frame structure cost a whopping Dh 160 million. This is around $44 million. No expense has been spared to make this magnificent edifice a reality.
• The Dubai Frame is 93 metres (305 feet) wide and 150 meters (494 feet) tall. As a result, you can imagine how spectacular this edifice will appear once you arrive. To gaze up, you’ll have to strain your neck.
• The towers of Dubai Frame are linked by a 100-square-meter bridge and a 25-square-meter glass panel in the center that provides 360-degree panoramic views.
