Digital Magazine – The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 has seen an exciting collaboration between Finnish tech brand HMD and Spanish football giant FC Barcelona.
The partnership has resulted in the introduction of the HMD Barca Fusion and HMD Barca 3210, two devices tailored for devoted fans of the club.
Alongside these themed smartphones, HMD has also launched the Fusion X1, a device engineered with enhanced security features to provide a safer online experience for younger users.
HMD Barca Fusion and HMD Barca 3210: A Tribute to FC Barcelona
HMD has crafted the Barca Fusion as a collector’s edition smartphone infused with exclusive FC Barcelona-themed content.
This device offers fans a unique experience with preloaded wallpapers, ringtones, and an official app featuring updates and interactive content from the club.
The phone also comes with a special case adorned with signatures from Barcelona’s current squad, which glow under UV light, adding a distinctive touch for collectors.
The HMD Barca 3210, on the other hand, is a nostalgic tribute to the classic Nokia 3210, but with modern upgrades.
The feature phone retains a simple interface while incorporating 4G connectivity. To enhance the fan experience, it includes a reimagined version of the iconic Snake game, now themed around FC Barcelona. This model is available in Blau and Grana color options, echoing the club’s traditional colors.
HMD Fusion X1: A Smartphone Designed for Digital Safety
Alongside its Barcelona-themed handsets, HMD has introduced the Fusion X1, a smartphone built with parental controls and online safety tools.
Equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, the device boasts up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It features a 6.56-inch HD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, delivering a smooth user experience.
In the camera department, the Fusion X1 sports a 108-megapixel primary sensor, accompanied by a secondary 2-megapixel sensor, while the front houses a 50-megapixel selfie camera. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery supporting 33W fast charging.
The highlight of the Fusion X1 is its integration with HMD’s Xplora parental control service. This system allows parents to monitor real-time location, approve or restrict contacts, set app usage schedules, and ensure a safer browsing experience for children and teenagers.
Additionally, HMD is offering customizable accessories, referred to as “outfits,” that enhance the personalization of the device.
Availability and Market Launch
HMD has yet to disclose the pricing details for the Barca Fusion, Barca 3210, and Fusion X1. However, these smartphones are expected to be released in multiple global markets in the coming months.
The partnership with FC Barcelona reinforces HMD’s strategy of combining technology with exclusive content to appeal to niche audiences while simultaneously addressing modern consumer concerns such as digital safety.
As HMD continues to innovate, these latest releases highlight the brand’s commitment to blending nostalgia, fan engagement, and user security in today’s mobile landscape.
