Digimagaz.com – Galatasaray, the Turkish Super League champions, have successfully secured the services of Argentine striker Mauro Icardi from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in a major transfer deal. The club announced on Sunday that they have reached an agreement with PSG to bring Icardi to Istanbul on a three-year contract.

According to official statements, Galatasaray will pay PSG a transfer fee of €10 million ($11.02 million) spread over four seasons. In return, Icardi is set to earn €6 million per season during his time with the Turkish club.

Icardi’s presence in Galatasaray’s squad is not new, as he spent the previous season on loan with the team. During that time, the prolific striker made a significant impact, scoring an impressive tally of 22 goals and providing seven assists in just 24 league appearances. His contributions were instrumental in helping Galatasaray clinch their 23rd league title in May, marking their first triumph since the 2018-19 season.

This signing represents a significant boost to Galatasaray’s attacking prowess, as they aim to maintain their dominance in the Turkish Super League and make a mark in European competitions.

In addition to the acquisition of Mauro Icardi, Galatasaray has made another notable addition to their squad. Earlier this month, Ivory Coast international Wilfried Zaha also joined the club on a three-year deal. Zaha made the move following the expiration of his contract with Crystal Palace, bringing further strength and diversity to Galatasaray’s roster.

Galatasaray’s fans and football enthusiasts worldwide eagerly await the arrival of Mauro Icardi and Wilfried Zaha to see how their skills and talents will contribute to the team’s performance in the upcoming season. With such formidable signings, Galatasaray looks poised to make a strong bid for continued success in both domestic and international competitions.
