Digimagaz.com – Angelo Gabriel has joined the club for an undisclosed sum, cementing his status as one of Brazil’s most promising young talents.

Back in October 2020, Gabriel made history by becoming the youngest player ever to feature in Brazil’s top-tier league at the tender age of 15 years and 308 days. Since then, he has amassed an impressive record of five goals in 129 appearances for his former club.

While Gabriel has represented his nation at the under-20 level, he is yet to earn his first senior international cap.

Chelsea has been busy bolstering their attacking options in the ongoing transfer window, having already secured the signatures of Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal for a reported fee of around £30 million, as well as Frenchman Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig for a hefty £52 million.

Following a lavish spending spree last summer and during the winter transfer period, manager Mauricio Pochettino has shifted his focus towards reducing the size of the squad.

Numerous notable departures from Chelsea include Mateo Kovacic, Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Christian Pulisic, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Baba Rahman, and Cesar Azpilicueta.

Meanwhile, the club’s pursuit of Brighton’s Ecuadorian midfielder Moises Caicedo continues, although reports suggest that the south coast side has slapped a hefty £100 million price tag on the 21-year-old talent.
