Digital Magazine – Google has officially unveiled its 10th generation smartphones the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL marking a significant step forward in the company’s mobile lineup. Backed by the new Tensor G5 processor and the Gemini Nano AI model, the devices are designed to be more proactive, personalized, and powerful than any Pixel before.
A Refined Design With Sustainable Materials
The Pixel 10 series continues Google’s signature design language while refining the iconic camera bar and adopting a refreshed aesthetic. The lineup introduces PixelSnap Qi2 wireless charging along with new magnetic accessories, reinforcing Google’s move toward convenience and modularity. In addition, these models are constructed with the highest percentage of recycled materials ever used in a Pixel device, reflecting Google’s sustainability goals.
Material You has also evolved with the debut of Material 3 Expressive, offering fluid animations, smoother transitions, and enhanced customization. These changes are paired with seven years of OS and security updates, ensuring the Pixel 10 series remains secure and current well beyond its initial launch.
Pixel 10: More Power in a Compact Form
At 6.3 inches, the standard Pixel 10 introduces a brighter Actua display with 3,000 nits of peak brightness, making it one of the brightest screens in its class. Audio improvements, including richer bass, enhance entertainment experiences for streaming and gaming.
Photography remains a key focus. The Pixel 10 debuts a 5x telephoto lens, a first for the base-tier Pixel, delivering 10x optical quality and up to 20x zoom via Super Res Zoom. These enhancements make long-distance photography far more accessible to mainstream users.
Color options include Obsidian, Frost, Indigo, and Lemongrass, paired with a satin-finish metal frame and polished glass back for a premium look and feel.
Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL: Designed for Enthusiasts
For users seeking a no-compromise flagship, the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL introduce Google’s brightest Super Actua displays, with screen sizes of 6.3 inches and 6.8 inches respectively. Both models come in classic Obsidian and Porcelain alongside two new finishes — Moonstone and Jade.
The Pro lineup features Google’s most advanced triple-lens camera system to date, supported by Pro Res Zoom with up to 100x magnification. Unlike traditional digital zoom, Pro Res Zoom leverages Tensor G5’s generative AI to recover fine details, making it the largest AI model ever integrated into a Pixel Camera.
Performance is further elevated with 16 GB of RAM, larger batteries, upgraded speakers, and faster wired charging. The Pixel 10 Pro XL also adds support for 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging, making it one of the fastest wireless charging solutions on the market.
Tensor G5: A Major Leap in Custom Silicon
At the heart of the new lineup is Tensor G5, a chip co-designed with Google DeepMind. This processor represents the most substantial upgrade since the Tensor platform launched, enabling faster performance and powering advanced on-device AI.
The integration of Gemini Nano brings a host of new generative AI features, including Magic Cue. This proactive tool surfaces relevant information directly in apps like Messages and Phone — from pulling flight details during a call to instantly suggesting photos when chatting with family. All of this happens securely on-device, reinforcing Google’s emphasis on user privacy.
Camera Coach: AI That Makes You a Better Photographer
Beyond hardware, Google is betting on AI to redefine mobile photography. Camera Coach, powered by Gemini, helps users improve composition and framing in real-time, effectively teaching the basics of photography while encouraging creativity.
Combined with the Pro models’ 100x zoom capabilities, these enhancements highlight how generative AI is being embedded directly into imaging workflows not just to process pictures, but to actively shape how they’re captured.
Pricing and Availability
The Pixel 10 lineup is now available for preorder, starting at $799 for Pixel 10, $999 for Pixel 10 Pro, and $1,199 for Pixel 10 Pro XL. Customers who purchase the Pro models will also receive one year of Google AI Pro at no additional cost.
