Another top player officially plays in the Saudi Pro League. Midfielder NGolo Kante has finally left Chelsea to join the defending Saudi Arabian League champions, Al Ittihad, Wednesday (21/6/2023) morning WIB.

Kante moved to Al Ittihad on a free transfer after his contract with Chelsea ended on 30 June 2023 and was not renewed.

Al Ittihad dared to give a salary of quite a fantastic value to Kante. It is claimed that the France international will receive a fee of 25 million euros per season until 2027.

This means that in total Kante will receive a payment of 100 million euros from Al Ittihad. This figure does not include commercial agreements and image rights.

 

4-Kalidou Koulibaly

Club: Al Hilal

Age: 32 years

Join: June 2023

Annual Salary: 30 million pounds

After only one season strengthening Chelsea, Kalidou Koulibaly moved to Saudi Arabia. The 32-year-old Senegalese central defender has been officially introduced by his new club, Al Hilal.

Koulibaly is contracted for three seasons. The former Napoli player will defend Al Hilal until the end of the 2025/2026 season.

Chelsea released Koulibaly to Al Hilal for a fee of € 23 million. With Chelsea, Koulibaly played 32 matches in all competitions. He contributed two goals for Chelsea.

 

5-Marcelo Brozovic

Brozovic was bought from Inter Milan for 18 million Euros. This price is down from the first bid of 23 million Euros.

Inter had to accept this price reduction because Al Nassr was trying to accommodate the player’s request for a salary increase.

Brozovic became Al Nassr’s first recruit in the summer of 2023. He will be Cristiano Ronaldo’s new partner next season.

 

6-Roberto Firmino

Club: Al Ahli

One more player who officially enlivened the Saudi Arabian League. Former Liverpool striker, Roberto Firmino has officially joined Saudi Pro League club, Al Ahli.

Al Expert recruited the 31-year-old striker for free. Previously, Firmino’s contract with Liverpool expired on 30 June 2023 yesterday and was not renewed.

Through an official release on their social media, Al Ahli announced that Firmino has received a contract with a duration of three years, alias until June 2026.

 

 

7-Ruben Neves

Club: Al Hilal

Annual Salary: £15.6 million

Neves’ contract with Wolverhampton ends in the summer of 2024. However, Neves is not willing to extend his tenure at the Molineux Stadium.

Neves was linked with several clubs such as Manchester United and Barcelona. However, the 26-year-old player chose to make a career outside of Europe.

Neves is the latest European player to move to the Saudi Arabian League. The former Porto player accepted an offer to join Al Hilal.

Neves was recruited permanently by Al Hilal. The player was redeemed for 55 million euros.

Neves is contracted for three years. Thus, the player will play at the club at least until 2026.

 

8-Jota

Club: Al Ittihad

Age: 24 years old

Annual Salary: £9.4 million

Jota is a 24 year old winger from Portugal. He is a former Benfica player who for the last two seasons played for Celtic in Scotland.

Two seasons with Celtic, Jota recorded a total of 28 goals and 26 assists in 83 appearances in all competitions.

Jota then moved to the Saudi Arabian League. He was bought quite expensive by Al Ittihad, which is worth 25 million pounds. Al Ittihad also contracted him for three years until 30 June 2026.

 

 

9-Edouard Mendy

Club: Al Ahli

Age: 31 years old

Join: June 2023

Annual Salary: £9.4 million

 

On June 28, 2023, Edouard Mendy was officially announced as the new player for Al-Ahli, a promotional club in the Saudi Pro League for the 2023/2024 season.
